Project Kainos so far
September 2025, on one of the first visits to the farm.
Making pathways around the greenhouse accessible has been a big focus to start with. We have cut back masses of the overgrowth of trees and brambles already, with much more still to do.
March 2026, progress a few days into the project
The greenhouse is also very overgrown and will need some repairs. We have been able to clear a lot of overgrowth, brambles, and remove much of the old weed membrane to start preparing the ground for growing.
This video is from the beginning of March 2026, on the first day of the project. There is incredible potential in this space, which is one of many areas we will be able to use. While there is a lot of work to be done, we have been encouraged already to see the enthusiasm of our volunteers, and the surprising speed at which progress is being made.
